SVC SRC Activity 2011
Thursday, 08 December 2011 11:00

The Corporate Social Responsibility has become one of the annual activities of Sato Vietnam since its establishment.

After the activity was launched by Thang Long Industrial Park Corporation (TLIP), Sato Vietnam has spent part of its annual budget on supporting Vietnamese Heroic mothers, poor households, dioxide victims, disabled people, and awarding scholarships in some communes around Thang Long Industrial Park where Sato Vietnam company is located.

Continuing the tradition, this year Human Resource Department coordinated with Labor Union Committee to launch the “la lanh dum la rach” movement (helping people who are more disadvantaged than us) within the company in the hope to donate very small things as well as our warm spirit to unlucky people in Ha 1 and Ha 2 hamlet, Lac Sy commune, Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh Province where is 150 kilometers far from Hanoi center. Hoa Binh province is a mountainous province located in the northwestern region with six ethnic minorities, in which Muong ethnic minority occupied upto 70% total resident. The life of people here is very hard. That’s reason why we choose this province to donate.

SVC sent a bus to carry rice, clothes and blankets to Lac Sy commune, 150 km from Sato, Hanoi.

Things collected from employees include books, clothes, rice and cash. We used all the donated money to buy rice and blankets. These things were then packed carefully and carried directly to poor households in two hamlets Ha 1 and Ha 2, Lac Sy commune on 3rd December 2011.

After 4hours our volunteer team had arrived Lac Sy commune at 12:00 am, despite far and round road. With warm welcome from people here our volunteers forgot fatigue and began their work.

Even Though our gifts were very small, they were enough to make the local people’s faces become more radiant.  This is a motivation urging us to do more and more for the people here as well as the less fortunate people around us.
