Friday, 24 October 2008 08:12

Since Established in 2004, SATO Vietnam (SVC) was aware of the importance of ERP software to the operation of a company. Along with a modern system with latest technology, a company should have a powerful production supplement and planning software system to guarantee its success.

SVC implemented its first ERP solution – the Microsoft Dynamic Solution (Solomon) – in 2005, which met the basic requirements of a newly-established company. In 2008, together with the investment into upgrading its manufacturing capacity, SATO Vietnam decided to implement the world leading enterprise resource planning system – the SAP system, which worth about USD 1,000,000.

The project was executed for 6 months and completed as scheduled in October 2008. The system include of FI-CO (to Financial Accounting & Controlling), MM (Material Management), QM (Quality Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and PP (Production Planning) modules.

The successful implementation and operation of SAP system means having the most advanced information systems enables superior visibility to each discrete activity throughout the supply chain, ultimately leading to increased service levels to SVC customers. As SAP provides much of the capability out-of-the-box, it allows SVC to focus development resources around the unique, value-added supply chain services that are important to our industry and to its customers.
